Victory in Potter tournament, Vallauris!

A really nice sunday, today. The weather wasn’t in cause, even if the sun was shining all day. But, in fact, I just won my first table tennis tournament!

Following advises of my team mates, I decided yesterday to do my first Table Tennis tournament. I’m now close to forty, so it was time to start tournament, indeed .

The competition last all day long. So, it means, play, wait, play, wait, etc. I had to be patient!

The last match was a bit labored, my opponent was largely supported by his whole team, and I faced him alone. I lost the first set, with a tight score, that encouraged me, and kept me focused. Then, I won the next three set, to finish the match.

I won one cup, and some pretty hand-made crockery, plus fifty bucks!

After being offline for months; the photo blog is now operational again!

A very huge effort has been made to make it run properly on the WampServer platform. long debug sessions have been necessary to make it support the latest WordPress release (2.9.2) in conjunction with the latest WampServer platform (2.0i).

The very nice “Reflection” theme has been changed to run effectively on this new platform. Everything has returned to normal. And I just have to push new photos!

Bye bye Orange! Welcome to Free

After been using for one year and half, Orange as my main ISP. I decided to cancel my contract due to the poor connection bandwidth, the everyday multiple reboot and support that, actually, doesn’t support anything.
I’ve been trying to restore my ADSL line for 6 month, without success. I resigned then.

The irony is…I’m working whithin the same Company Group . And to do an effective support for my customers, I really need to have a reliable connection from home. So I changed for another competitor!

I’ve now, an actually stable and quicker ADSL connection (double time faster). Not bad at all.
The support is also in Marocco, like any other French ISP. And doesn’t seem to be efficient too.
And it took about 2 weeks to have all conection established. That a quite long.

Nice trip on Phú Quốc island, Vietnam

We’ve just returned from 5 days on the Phu Quoc island. It’s really a very nice place (for now). The infrastructure are growing fast.
We did a lot of motobike in the southern part of this island, and did snorkling within the An Thoi islands; really really nice.

Here it is!
I’ve renewed with table tennis competition. I haven’t been playing any match since 8 years!
After 3 training sessions only; I played the first day of “Regional 2″ championship. At least, I saved the honor. I won one match

Long time i wished to see this sport on live. And honestly the show was amazing.
It was so great to watch. You immediatly understand why the “grand chistera” is hard to control. Moreover the playfield is really huge (80 meters long). So, it is necessary to have a good heath condition, doubled with a high tactical sense to win one point.

Nitrox diver — Level 1

After returning to the spearfishing activity, I also returned to one of my favourite past hobby; scuba diving.

I chose a homely club in Cannes, at the “Mouré rouge” harbor, named “Aqua Evolution”. They are very fond of teck diving .

So, with a friend, we decided to follow lessons for Nitrox level 1. Our first aim is to reduce the tiredness of post diving.

Hydrospeed, Castellane

Today, small trip to Verdon, the day agenda is an hydrospeed descent upon the river. I did it one time already. It was about 6 years before. I did well and I loved that!

The shop I used for the first descent is now closed, so I choose another one — Aqua Viva Est — located on the main place of the Castellane village.

This time, the descent turned to military action. Clearly, for money reasons, the shop organise 2 runs per day. So the first run of the day must finish as soon as posible to allow the second to run in time. Thus, the 6 km of the river dedicated to this activity have been completed in less than one hour. 55 minutes exactly.

Spear fishing, a lucky renewal

Long time i didn’t go to some spear fishing raid. I haven’t been for a real spear fishing shoot since 6 years!

I picked up my very first gun, a 90cm, Beuchat; and all my remaining equipment, still in good shape.
And Voila, here i go! I straight to the very end of Cap d’Antibes, on a small footpath named “Tirepoil”.
For sure, a name like this can not be invented! The shallow deeps are really nice, with some high rocks outcrop the sea level.

After browsing all around the area for one hour. Lucky, i come back with three (small) fishes! That’s generously enough to me

Voila! I’ve been studying since 1 year what a blog is. I begun one night at 8pm…and continue so far.

How it works? How to make it? Why a blog?

I dig out one question, then another one, and so on. It seems to neverends .

So, i’ve tried to do, step by step, the few blogs i intented to have.
